Do I really…

I was chatting with an old friend today who I haven’t seen for too many years.

He said that I was looking chilled and like a philosopher…

I’ve been described as many things in my time and some have been complimentary but I have never been described as a Philosopher…

PPI

PPI calls are bad enough but I’ve had a load of spam around PPI now. What has to happen before people will stop this?

Maybe the answer is to start a service for those people who got ripped off by PPI claims companies???

February

It’s February already and I haven’t blogged since New Year’s Eve…
Which is dreadful. But not as dreadful as the Super Bowl Half Time Show, or the man howling throughout the Super Bowl.
I gave up watching after the half time show. If lost all sense of what was happening in the game and the Howling Man made me want to punch the TV…
Happy days…

Atmosphere

I love live sport in most cases, and especially football. The atmosphere is variable – it depends on a whole host of things like the state of the game, the number of people in attendance, the weather and the state of the economy.

But I love going to football regardless of the atmosphere.

Watching it on the television though needs a crowd in the stadium to make it work. Which is why I can’t understand the prices being charged.

sensible pricing leads to larger crowds and better atmosphere.

flags and stuff help but not as much as good banter, good people and lots of them.

Seven Day Medical Service

Scan on a Sunday

GP appointment at 7.30 in the morning.

Non of this demanded – all surprising.

Im not sure it adds too much to my convenience – in some ways appointments on a Sunday throw your weekend out of kilter.

All routine stuff – all rapidly and efficiently done with a smile.

The only time I don’t feel happy about the NHS is when I see politicians trying to shred it into pieces for the benefit of corporations…

Changes

The world remains a wonderful place. Confused, conflicted, benign, dull, dangerous…

And it that, not much changes…

Today was an Old East To Old West day in Germany. Remnants of a state that thought differently about society exist.

The fact that the changes largely came about peacefully shouldn’t be ignored.

Mans neither should the current descent to war.

Not much changes…
